From camera roll to movie in four steps

    Allow your photos. Paws looks through them on your phone and picks out your dogs and cats.

Everyday photos, lined up

Photos are never taken the same way: the eyes sit higher or lower, the head tilts, the face is near or far. Paws fixes all three, so the movie plays without a wobble.

Which phones does it work on?

iPhones running iOS 17 or later. There’s no Android or iPad version yet.

Which pets does it recognise?

Dogs and cats. Clear photos of their face work best. Side views, faraway shots and sleeping pets are harder, and Paws leaves out photos where it can’t line up the eyes.

How long does it take to look through my photos?

A few thousand photos go quickly. A very large library can take a long time. Keep Paws open while it works; if you close it, it carries on from where it stopped next time.

What about photos stored in iCloud?

Paws looks at photos that are on your phone. Photos stored only in iCloud are set aside until they’re downloaded, and you can try them again from Settings.

How do the stickers work?

Pick a style, a border and words, and Paws chooses up to twelve photos across your pet’s life (shuffle for others). Those photos are sent through our server to the image service that draws each sticker; Paws then cuts it out on your phone. Nothing is kept on our server. If Paws closes halfway, it carries on next time with the same purchase. See the privacy policy.

How many photos do I need?

At least three clear photos for Paws to recognise a pet. The more you have, the longer the movie.
